Find a Job in Singapore

Where to find a job in Singapore

Job listing web sites

There are many job sites that are dedicated to listing jobs in Singapore. If you found this blog, chances are you've already been to many of these sites. However, know that job sites are not your only option although they should definitely be included when you are searching for jobs.

Below is a Job board from one of the popular job sites in Singapore :) If you need help with writing a resume, we have a free resume template for Singapore jobs.

Newspapers and classifieds

This is another great resource for finding jobs in Singapore. It may come as a surprise but many employers do not post their job listings on the internet. The Straits Times' classifieds usually has plenty of jobs for you to choose from. The New Paper also has some but I've found that there are more listings for blue collar jobs and part-time jobs there. In any case, you should get a copy and see for yourself since they are less than a dollar each.

Singapore jobs in Company web sites

This is one of the most underused methods of finding jobs. Some companies have a Careers section or a 'Join Us' or some similar page that allows you to submit your resume to them. Even if they don't, as long as there is a contact email on the site, it's a chance for you to e-mail the company directly and send them your resume.

Where do you find company web sites? Just do a google search for the industry that you're interested in + the term Singapore and a bunch should pop up. For example, "account Singapore" gives you a list of accounting companies in Singapore along with their contact details. And you can use Google Maps directly to find such companies too (even if they don't have a web site!)

A lot of you would probably be intimidated at the prospect of sending a direct e-mail to a company when it isn't solicited, but this is actually a good opportunity to make yourself stand out from other job applicants. A well-crafted direct e-mail and resume indicating your interest to join the company is much more effective than spamming a ton of resumes to job sites.
