What is a Singapore Resume?

A Singapore resume, like resumes of any other country, is a short document (one or two pages) that summarizes your career objectives, educational background, work experience, and other achievements. If you have credible references (such as an ex-employer or professor), you should include them in your resume too.

What the Singapore resume should contain

Your contact information

The header of your Singapore resume should contain your contact information including name, address and phone number or e-mail address although employers are more likely to contact you through the phone rather than e-mail.

Your school and working experiences

In the body of your Singapore resume, you have a one to two sentence career objective and a summary of your educational and working experiences formatted neatly with the relevant dates included.

In the educational section of your Singapore resume, you can include modules that you have taken in school if they are relevant to the job.

In the working experience section, write down any duties that you've performed that may be useful to the job you are applying for.

You should also put in your resume any skills that are relevant to the work you are applying for.

Other information in your Singapore resume

In a Singapore resume, unlike those of other countries, you will sometimes need to include your languages spoken as employers may be looking to hire someone who can speak to certain groups of customers or clients. If a language requirement is not specified, you will probably not need to include it but if you speak multiple languages, you may want to include this information anyway as it may sometimes be advantageous to your job application.
